Software.

   Software is a set of instruction that makes the computer perform tasks.The nonphysical elements of a computer system are called software. It refers to the program or set of instruction that tell a computer what to do and when to do.Software makes the computer more useful it's a general name given to all the instruction and data necessary  to make the computer usable.Thousand of  different software programs are available for use on personal computers.

 Types of software.

    There are two types of software.
1. System software.
2. Application software.

Hardware.

    Hardware  is a collection of a different device.The physical or tangible forming a computer are called hardware. It includes not only the computer but also the cable connector, power supply units and peripheral devices such as the keyboard, mouse, audio speakers,printer.

1.Analog computer.

2.Hybrid computer.

3.Digital  computer.

Analog computer.

      The term analog is taken from the word analogous  which means similar.Analog represent data continuously.Analog computers are commonly used for scientific and engineering problems, particularly in chemical industries, electric power plants.Transmission means of transmission of analog signals without regard to their content.                                                                                                   

 Hybrid computer.

   Hybrid computer uses analog to digital conversion and digital to analog conversion, and may input or output either analog or digital data.Hybrid computer is combination of analog and digital computer system.

Digital computer.

Digital computer represent data discretely, as 0s or 1s.Digital computer are computer  that  specialize in counting. Unlike the analog computer which receives data in a continuously form, the digital computer form,the digital computer handle values  that are  in a discrete number.

In basic term, a computer is an  electronic device  that process data, converting  it into information  that is useful to a people.

In the simplest word we can say any device which can computer or calculate is also known as computer.      

  A computer is an electronic device that accept data in one from and process it to produce data  in other form.

A computer is a machine  which works under  the control  of stored program,automatically accept storing processing dating to produce information which is the result of that processing.
